Bill Clinton will keynote at the Democratic National Convention this year, where he will also nominate Barack Obama for re-election. The DNC takes place in Charlotte, NC at the Bank of America Stadium, and Clinton’s primetime speech will air on most networks Wednesday, September 5th.

Clinton Health Access Initiative reveals cost efficacy in an important new study completed by the CHAI and promoted at the International Aids Conference in Washington last month. The study conducted by the CHAI and funded by the Clinton Foundation reveals per-person costs for patients in sub-Saharan Africa that are much lower than previously estimated.
Hopefully, the $200/year per patient cost determined by the study will inspire more widespread donations and involvement by institutions and governments in developed nations.
In other news, BC met with Nelson Mandela on the eve of Mandela’s 94th birthday in Qunu, South Africa at Mr. Mandela’s home. Clinton and daughter Chelsea met with Mandela and his wife, as well as other family members.
Aug. 13 –E! broadcast network – Bill Clinton will be featured on the cable tv show’s “E! Investigates: Bullying: Celebs Speak Out, ” airing at 8 p.m.
Aug. 15 –New York City – Clinton will present at an Obama Super Pac fundraising briefing for high-level donors at a private residence in Manhattan, according to sources at Politico.com.
Sept. 5 –Charlotte, N. Carolina – Bill Clinton will be a highly anticipated speaker at the Democratic National Convention where his rallying speech is expected to culminate in the nomination of Barack Obama for re-election. Most broadcast channels will air the speech during primetime. Check your local listings on Wednesday for airtimes.
Dec. 3rd –Denver, Colorado – Clinton will be speaking as part of the Unique Lives & Experiences lecture series. An Evening with Bill Clinton will take place at the Wells Fargo Theatre located inside the Colorado Convention Center and will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are still available here.
